Garth Brooks Fans Cause Earthquake With “Callin’ Baton Rouge” Sing-Along

Garth Brooks had a historic performance at Tiger Stadium, home of the LSU Tigers football team, for multiple reasons.

The concert marked the first time in 24 years that Brooks got to play his hit song "Callin’ Baton Rouge" inside Tiger Stadium. His performance of that song in particular was so loud that a seismograph, located in the Nicholson Building on LSU’s campus, reportedly recorded a small earthquake. The seismograph picked up on the capacity crowd of over a 100,000 singing the lyrics back to Brooks.

According to a Tweet made by Cody Worsham who is the Chief Brand Officer for LSU Sports, an LSU professor had set up the seismograph before the show to see just how loud Brooks and his fans got during the concert.

Brooks couldn’t say enough great things after the concert, he shared on his social media, "UN – FREEEEEAAAAKING REAL!!!! LSU … tonight was better than my wildest dreams !!!! love, g #GARTHinBATONROUGE"
