Nearly Half Of Young Adults In US Still Living With Parents

Nearly half of the young adults in the United States are living at home, sponging off their parents, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Data released by the agency reveals 48 percent of adults between the ages of 18 and 29 are living under their parents’ roof — a number not seen since the Great Depression. “When asked about the incentives to move in with parents, 51 percent of the young adults said that it was to save money and 39 percent of them said that it was because they could not afford rent,” according to a survey conducted by PropertyManagement.com.

Does ousting kids when they become adults make them more responsible, or is there a better way of teaching them?
