San Jose Sharks Defenseman Erik Karlsson Wins Big at NHL Awards!

The National Hockey League Awards were last night and Erik Karlsson won big! He was awarded the James Norris Memorial Trophy which is given to the best defenseman in the league. It was no surprise that he was going to win- Karlsson had one of the best seasons of his career finishing with 101 points (25 goals and 76 assists). Karlsson is only the ninth player ever to win the Norris at least 3 times and is the only active player in the NHL to have multiple Norris wins.

Karlsson has made it clear recently that he is interested in a trade from San Jose so we will see if he is still with the Sharks next season.
