Sharks Trade Brent Burns In Blockbuster Move

The San Jose Sharks made an offseason splash this afternoon as it was announced that they’ve traded star defenseman Brent Burns.

The move sends Burns and Lane Pederson to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Forward Steven Lorentz, Goalie Eetu Makiniemi and a conditional 2023 3rd round draft pick.

We have acquired Steven Lorentz, Eetu Makiniemi and a conditional 2023 third round selection from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for Brent Burns and Lane Pederson.

It was also announced that they’ve signed Forward Oskar Lindblom to a two-year deal.
