Tom Hanks is getting ready for another great acting role, this time for a live-action version of the Disney animated classic.
Hanks will be headlining the live-action version of Pinocchio, which will head directly to Disney+.
Hanks will portray Pinocchio’s creator, Gepetto.
The film will be directed by Robert Zemeckis, who has directed Hanks in past films such as Forrest Gump and The Polar Express.
It’ll be the latest in a line of live-action Disney remakes that have includedMulan, Dumbo and The Lion King.
The originial, animated Pinocchio was released in theatres in 1940.
An official release date hasn’t been set, however, the film will be released some time next year.
